High blood pressure and iodized salt

Sodium occurs In most of the part of the common salt. There are many foods in which salt is added so sodium is thee in these many foods stuffs. There is chemical compound made up of sodium known as common salt, the daily usage of this chemical maintains the level of sodium in the body. Sodium is required by our body for many bodily activities and even normal functioning of the brain. One teaspoon of sodium which weighs around 5 grams would contain around 2 grams sodium in it that means around 40 percent of the common salt contains sodium in it.

There are rocky salt and the sea salt that contains the sodium chloride or the common salt that we use. On contrary to it there is pepper also present in it but it loses its flavor soon. Then there is iodized salt it is that salt which contains 0.03 milligram iodine in every gram of the salt this salt is really very beneficial in many deficiency diseases. This helps in the normal functioning of the brain. The use of this salt has really increased all over the world because of its benefits that have been known throughout the world.

There are varying levels and amount of sodium and iodine that are constantly being added up to the food that we consume. It is not necessary that always this level is increased by the constant use of salt by the person, the chances are that food additives such as baking soda or many kinds of preservatives such as the monosodium glutamate or other preservatives that might increase the total sodium intake in the body.

Salt affect in blood pressure:

According to the generic disposition there has been increase the risk of high blood pressure in people who consume lot of sodium in their body. People who consume more and more sodium can increase the risk of hypertension. The high blood pressure levels are a rare scene in people who consume less sodium around 1.2 grams per day. There are a few regions like Australia where the daily sodium intake for any person can raise upto 4-8 grams, salt may not be the factor that affects the increase in the blood pressure in a person, this is manly the sodium level that is the main culprit. About 1 in every 5 Australian is suffering from the problem of increased blood pressure.

There is an increase in the salt intake around many places where the climate is hot. There are symptoms such as fainting, body cramps and other risks that are associated with sodium intake but blood pressure affect is also one of the most common one.
